"Love Story"
Hey its Valentines Day!
My Valentine's Day dream.

February 13th

"Hairspray"
So love this movie at the moment. Full of BIG hair, lots of singing and lots of dancing!

This prompt took me back to the 1960's.
I was a hairdresser then and often
when the Salon was quiet
007
moments were enjoyed by
the staff.
Especially if the boss was in
the firing line!!!

Breakfast at Tiffany's"
Inspiration could come from the beautiful Miss Audrey Hepburn; her fashion, poise and elegance. Try looking at the title; breakfast. Maybe the famous scenes of Audrey window shopping at Tiffanys will inspire your photograph today.
**************
When looking for inspiration I often start with the obvious!
Then I take time to find out more.Followed by a time to reflect.
Moving on to my own research,

by window shopping!
Then selecting my Christmas present for 2008 LOL
Singing to myself ....
Diamonds are a Shirl's best friend!

"Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some, and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some."
Robert Fulghum

Thinking in the glorious morning
sunshine is a beautiful start to anyone's day.

"Beauty does not exist to be ignored, rather it is a reflection of the soul that invites our participation"
Linda Saccoccio
Lets have fun with reflections today.

I do a lot of my reflecting on life whilst I am drinking tea,
so reflections with my teapot seemed
a natural thing to do!

"We really need only five things on this earth. Some food, some sun, some work, some fun and someone"
Beatrice Nolan

Try and photograph all five things today.

I did and here are my 5 for the day.
One of my good foods
A very helpful community support officer who was
working hard and doing his duty.
No he wasn't booking me but he was having fun booking
all those who were parking on double yellow lines!
Nature is beautiful, especially when it is lit
by its very own sunshine.
I always have fun when using my cameras. This little one is a really special someone.

"Never frown, because you never know when someone is falling in love with your smile".
Carol O'Leary

Going to be really soppy here.

These smiles certainly signified love that
is tolerant, deep and lasting.
Meeting and falling in love over 40 years ago
was our good fortune.

February 7th

"We can do more than imagine, we can create"
Dan Zadra

Creating using photoshop is fun.

Autumn colours are beautiful anyway
but by carefully selecting this tree
I have created what I hope is a
magical photo.

February 6th

"The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful"
E.E. Cummings

I immediately thought of my nearest puddle!!!
Well not a puddle really but something that
could be called 'puddle-wonderful'.
Our fish pond in the garden.
All those frogs need somewhere to sit don't they?
I just love sitting and watching the fish
especially in the summer.

"The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work"
Oprah Winfrey
Take a self portrait

Well I thought very carefully how I was going to
bring a self portrait into my blog today.
Then I looked back at my personal goal
list for 2008.
One of my personal goals was to complete projects that I started.
Now I have many uncompleted projects at the moment but
the most recent is my 2007 Christmas Journal,
so today I sat down and completed it!!!
Another of my goals for 2008 was to keep my desk in order
as I worked.
One out of two can't be bad can it?

Monday, 4 February 2008

February 4th

"Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all."
Harriet van Horne

Abbie certainly enters into cooking with abandon.
Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday but I will not be
seeing Abbie then, so we have had our
pancakes today.
They have been made and cooked by
Abbie wearing the family apron!!!

"You don't stop playing because you are old; you grow old because you stop playing. "
Unknown

Ok so it is a complete cheat for me today
but I know this photo does not come up big
on my blog!
Not only does it show me do a little pole dancing but
it lets you see me wearing ORANGE !!!
Not my usual colour you must agree.
It also gives me another
chance to advertise one of my favourite
charities.

February 2nd

"Let memories be beauty in your life, like song and roses in the winter sun."
Sascha
Where's the beauty in your life today?

I am always looking for the beauty
in my life.
One area of beauty is my weakness for cosmetics
and wonder creams!
I just need to use them more often
and then
they might work!

February 1st

"When I haven't any blue, I use red."
Pablo Picasso

Find red in your life today.

There is not a lot of red in my life however,
I went on a red search around the house and I found:
Red Ribbons
Red Papers
Red Inks
and
Red Buttons.
Then I went to post a letter and there it was.
Something that is red in my life and that I use most days.
My local post box!
